Anchor Church Family
We are TWO months into LAUNCH!
Between our kick-off on September 8, and November 10 -
$220,461 from 79 donors was given to LAUNCH to pay down the $750,000 loan for the purchase of our 5 acre LAUNCHING PAD at 2750 Acton School Road.
Let’s all raise a hallelujah!
During the first two months of LAUNCH, donations have ranged from $10 to $50,000.
Every donation matters.
Also, of our 79 donors to LAUNCH, 27 have made multiple donations.
Once again, every donation matters.
In addition, donations toward the Anchor general giving fund during this second month of LAUNCH exceeded expectations.
We are generous because God is generous.
By the time of the next report on December 9, I would love to report we have had 91 donors give to LAUNCH, with 40 having made multiple donations.
If you have not yet donated to LAUNCH, I want to thank you ahead of time for giving before December 9.
Every donation matters. THANK YOU!
On October 30, we had several people gather on the property to pray over every square inch of the land and offer it up to the Lord for His Kingdom to come, and His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
I am SO thankful for this group, and others, who have been praying over the land.

We are one month into LAUNCH!
Through Sunday, October 7, $156,531 from 65 donors was given to LAUNCH to pay down the $750,000 loan for the purchase of our 5 acre LAUNCHING PAD at 2750 Acton School Road.
Some donations were one-time, and others were recurring. And donations ranged from $10 to $25,000. Every donation matters!
In addition, donations toward the Anchor general giving fund during this first month of LAUNCH increased.
Praise the Lord!
As a reminder, during this season of LAUNCH, we are focused on two key values for giving to the church:
We practice generosity because God is generous.
God gets the glory & we get to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
To keep our LAUNCH campaign in perspective, and to celebrate our 2-year birthday on Sunday, we did something out of the norm.
We gave everyone an Anchor Generosity Challenge. If you missed it, it looks like THIS.
As we practice generosity, give God the glory, and be a part of something bigger than ourselves, keep the following in mind:

Go ahead and set up regularly scheduled general giving to Anchor.
Forming the habit of intentionally giving the first fruits of your labor to God through His church begins with making your mind up to do so.

Visit with your financial advisor on how to make tax-free contributions to LAUNCH from investments or retirement accounts.

Welcome to week 2 of LAUNCH!
In this season, we are focused on two key values for giving to the church:
We practice generosity because God is generous.
God gets the glory & we get to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
These two values are the keys to financially supporting the general ministries of Anchor Fellowship Church AND raising $750,000 for the purchase of our 5 acre LAUNCHING PAD at 2750 Acton School Road.
If you did not watch or listen to the sermon from our first week on September 8, “We PRACTICE Generosity Because God is Generous,” I encourage you to make time to do it as soon as you can.

Whether you watch, listen, or read it - just do it.
It will change your perspective on what God and what the Lord is leading us to do as Anchor Fellowship Church.

Did You Know?
The Secure 2.0 Act of 2022 created a new option for an IRA Gift Annuity where a one-time transfer of up to $53,000 directly from an IRA can be made to fund a charitable gift in 2024 TAX-FREE? Please verify with your financial advisor.
Also, for those over 70 years and 6 months old, be sure to check with your financial advisor about how you can make a TAX-FREE charitable donation of up to $100,000 to Anchor Fellowship Church from your IRA.
These are exciting days for the church and community. God is our Anchor (Hebrews 6:19)!

After 60 days of praising the Lord for His provision, we have now entered a season of intentional giving to support the general ministries of Anchor Fellowship Church AND raising $750,000 for the purchase of our 5 acre LAUNCHING PAD at 2750 Acton School Road.

WE NOW OWN LAND
8/23/24
On Thursday afternoon, final paperwork was signed for Anchor Fellowship Church to purchase the 5 acres at 2750 Acton School Road (corner of Acton Hwy/Acton School Road) for $750,000.
Join me in praising the Lord for His abundance using Psalm 100!
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
I am SO thankful for God’s goodness, Anchor’s faithful prayer warriors, your financial generosity, and the leadership of our Anchor Board, Finance Team, and Staff.
We do not officially kick-off our LAUNCH campaign until September 8. However, I know many of you are wanting to make special donations now.

At closing, the representative from Granbury ISD told me she was very excited for Anchor Fellowship and the school district. The district plans on using the proceeds from the sale to purchase much-needed school buses.

LAUNCH – Let’s go!
Anchor Church Family
On Monday night, the Granbury ISD School Board approved the sale of 5 acres at 2750 Acton School Road (corner of Acton Hwy/Acton School Road) to Anchor Fellowship Church.
I hope you will join me in praising the Lord for His abundant provision!
We have SO much to be thankful for:
We asked for a church that was Jesus-led and Holy Spirit-filled.
God provided.
We asked for vision and were given, “Shake the gates of hell; cause heaven to rejoice; and change lives.”
God provided.
We asked for land as a launching pad for whatever the Lord planned next for Anchor.
God provided.
The Lord is generous. He is not stingy.
For the next 60 days, June 26-August 26, we will focus on giving God our praise & thanksgiving.
Here are 3 specific ways you can be a part of this exciting new season of praise and thanksgiving:
PRAY daily, “Lord, I thank and praise You (Psalm 100:4) for Your abundance. What do You want to do in and through me for Anchor during these 60 days?”
MEMORIZE this promise from Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8:
““Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
GIVE a one-time or recurring thanksgiving offering through our website using the LAUNCH tab, or via mail or in person using the LAUNCH designation in the memo.
God is worthy of our praise (Revelation 4:11)!
Over the next several months, Anchor will conduct a feasibility study on the land, finalize funding with our lender, and execute the closing contract with the school district.
We will then place Anchor signs on the property and develop building plans to help you visualize what the property with a building might look like.
We will then ask for formal commitments, or pledges, after this season of praise, thanksgiving, and preparation.
But before we rush ahead, we need to intentionally pause for 60 days to give God all the glory as we PRAY, MEMORIZE, and GIVE in response to His abundance.
